Las Vegas, NV (KTNV)- A 93 year old Las Vegas woman dies and leaves behind a house full of stuff. Now, her family is selling it all to make a few bucks.

“Every room is filled, the back yard is filled. I’ve never seen anything like this,” said Renee Poole, Owner of Renee Estate Liquidation She was called by the family of the woman who recently passed away. They needed help getting rid of a lifetime collection of stuff that had accumulated in her home. And decided to sell it all.

Hundreds of people packed the home on Friday, that was filled with thousands of items, most of it clothes with the tags still on and going for about a dollar each.

“I would say 90 percent of it was brand new, so she just couldn’t let things go,” said Poole.

It’s unclear why this woman kept so many things over the years, but people who took part in this one of a kind sale didn’t care, they wanted a deal.

Some waited in line for hours to get it, whatever it really was. The lineup of people went down the block.

One buyer said she was looking for anything and everything. “Just whatever catches my eye,” said Jacuelyn Romero.

People are fascinated by the topic of hoarding, but according to psychologists, can be caused by mental illness or a traumatic experience in someones life.

“It’s pretty easy to make a quick TV show about a population of folks, who on the show, are really at their wits end and felling quite desperate, said Dr. Michelle Carro, Clinical Psychologist and UNLV Professor.

“It’s hard to deal with stuff without trying to figure out why someone would live in a way that you wouldn’t, said Poole.

But at least now hundreds of people will be about to enjoy her thousands of things

It’s just a glimpse inside a home being readied for an estate sale

following the death of a Las Vegas woman.

But unlike many homes, this one gives a glimpse of the “hoarders”lifestyle made popular on reality television.

Renee Poole, owner of Call Renee Estate Liquidation, was called by the family of Ann Edwards to hold the sale.

When Poole arrived to the home she couldn’t believe her eyes, “I’ve been doing this for about 25 years and I have never, ever seen so much stuff.”

Clark County Assessor records show Ann Edwards and her husband bought the home in 1969. Her husband passed away in 1998.

Poole believes Edwards lived alone ever since, and the rest of her family lives out of state.

The hoard has many items including: clothing, shoes, jewelry, handbags and home decorations, many are brand new. The backyard is filled with more than a dozen storage sheds packed to the brim.

Cleaning crews have spent more than a week getting ready for the sale. Poole says they hauled away about six truckloads of trash and donated some items to charity.

The estate sale is at 1708 South 8^8th Street on Friday & Saturday, July 15 & 16, from 8:30 AM to 2 PM.

Most items are marked one dollar and still have original price tags on them.
